You can ask the OAA for any financial aid applications, but I think they're really very much stricter than they were before. You really have to prove you need the grants :)
Regarding priorities, I think freshmen are more prioritized. I know of upperclassmen who got their scholarship terminated because of pure non-academic reasons, how sad haha :p
i am a scholar too. i have 65%discount then they will deduct a part of my mom's salary because she is a college prof(associate prof ata) in the ateneo.

Pwede yun! :D You can apply even if you're an incoming sophie, junior, or senior! Hindi ko lang alam kung every year lang pwede, or kung pwede rin every sem. :)
Just inquire at the Office of Admission and Aid (OAA). Ate Tin, the scholarship officer, is very accomodating and will be glad to answer your inquiries :D
Oh, for the financial aid scholars, just don't slack off during your freshman year.
The retention requirements are quite low compared to the other kinds of scholarships. Just as long as you don't get one F or two D's in one semester, you're safe. If you do get twp D's, you may still appeal to retain your scholarship; usually, they let you keep your scholarship if it's your first time to get two D's.
Remember, per sem lang yun. If you get one D in your 1st sem, and another D in your second sem, that doesn't count as not meeting your retention requirements. :) But if you get an F in one sem, you could be in danger of losing your scholarship.
Scholars also have extra requirements. Financial aid scholars have to render at least ten service hours -- meaning, you have to work in Ateneo's offices. The kinds of work you have to do vary -- mundane stuff like stapling papers, encoding and printing in the Campus Ministry office, take calls and answer inquiries in the front desks, or pretty demanding work like running around campus to deliver letters, setting up venues for school events, or even being one of those volunteers who help with processing ACET applications.

Hello. Merit scholar here. Ang mahirap sa pagiging merit scholar, nakakahiya paghindi nameet yung expectation.
Wow, merit scholar ka rin pala. Do you know Kryslette Bunyi? She's my kabarkada & our batch valedictorian. AFMS din cya, & she's coming to the Ateneo with me. BS AMF ang course nya. :)
