hey, just to clarify some things:

1 - baunan: we will be giving you baunans on the FIRST DAY of orsem. lunch will be served daily. but since the ateneo has the BYOB (Bring Your Own Baunan) system in school, on the SECOND and THIRD days of orsem, we will be needing you guys to bring them to school again. kaya siya nasa reminders kasi we can't serve you the food without the baunans.

2 - capris and shorts: we will be strict on this. you have to wear PANTS for the duration of the orsem.

3 - school nights: there will be school nights. please note the following:

SOH – June 11, 4:30 – 7pm

SOM - June 15, 4:30 – 7:30pm

SOSE – June 11, 5 – 8:30pm

SOSS – June 10, 5pm – 8pm

4 - orsem letters: orsem letters are to be sent this week. all the details you'll need to know about orsem will be there. the letters, the reminders, etc. please be patient as we are trying to send these letters to everyone in time. if by JUNE 3 you have not received yours, please call us at 9291029.

5 – slippers and sandals: please do wear rubber shoes. It is for your own good that we ask you to wear them. Again the orsem volunteers will be strict on this.

6 – orsem kits: the orsem kits are different from the orsem letters. The kits are not sent by snail mail.  The kits are given on the first day of your orsem.

7 – registration: the orsem committee does not handle this. Please visit http://regcom.ateneo.edu for more details regarding your registration schedules and procedures.

8 – IDs: the orsem committee does not handle this. Please contact ADSA for this.

9 – blocks: block lists will be released by the registrar’s office. For those who will be unable to drop by the Ateneo to see the list, the secretariat committee will try to upload the list once we have it.

like the Orsem, is it required to go to the school nights? is there a dress code too =.=?

regarding school nights: yes, you are required to go. as for the dress code, im not that sure, but more or less, follow the dress code of the orsem

as for the venue: not sure. but last year, it was only the som night that had its venue at irwin

Hi there! I just wanted to know where exactly in Ateneo we have to go for the Orsem (beginning of the day, registering etc). I just want to make sure I'm in the right venue. Thank you!

I think it's the same thing you wore on ORSEM because you don't have time to change clothes at home

Actually, your school orientation will be done in the school talk scheduled at third day, i think.

Think of it as a welcoming party for you  biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

SOME MORE REMINDERS/CLARIFICATIONS (as posted in the orsem ygroup)

#1 About the Orsem Letter
"to answer everyone's questions regarding the orsem letter,

YES, the one sent thru email is the orsem letter.

YES, the orsem letter was sent also thru snail mail today. we ask that we be patient as we are trying our best to reach and accomodate everyone. again as we have said in previous reminders, please do call us if by JUNE 3 you have yet to receive your letters.

NO, you do not have to bring the letters during orsem.

YES, details of your orsem is sent thru snail mail. BUT all the details you need to know about your orsem is available online. please visit http://orsem2009.com for it.

we have put everything in the website. you need not wait for the orsem letters to arrive at your doors to be informed. i do hope the website clarifies your questions regarding what colors to wear or what to bring or not bring. you may also visit the forums for further clarifications.

Whoa. I had the same problem too. I even called the contact number several times. Mr. Garcia, the one I talked to on the phone suggested that I just go to the Registrar's office and ask for an info sheet and they'll just be the ones to update my record. So I went there and filled it up. Had I known there will be papers to be given on the OrSem, di na sana  ako nagpabalik-balik pa. Oh well. Hehe.smile

postponed po talaga...

SOSE kasi ako...so I asked kung postponed din ung SOSE night...here was the reply...

The SOSE Freshmen Night is also postponed. It will be held on one of the nights of the OrSem. We don't have the date yet since we also don't have a final date for the OrSem. We will inform you as soon as possible.
