AKO ang SIMULA

it's just about time to tackle this issue. to this new breed of Ateneans, this new batch of freshmen, TAYO ang SIMULA.

Drop in your THOUGHTS. Tell the community your STAND--or admit that you can't stand AT ALL.

It started with a sudden convention by the people of the lower house. A hasty, abrupt, convention that ended at about midnight that same day. And then it was declared : The Constituent Assembly has been ressurected.

In no time, people were alarmed. People were confused. People were angered. hearts, with fire, were set ablaze! Thoughts of people, in explicit daze. All asking why? Why do you keep on ignoring the people's cry?

This Con-Ass has been oppossed many times and has been proven a failure--not until the next administration. not until the next president has been elected. not until President Arroyo has stepped-out her office. However, the Lower House has shamelessly pushed the talks for con-con. Again, people ask WHY?

+ Is it truly because PGMA wants to extend her term in office?

+ Is it because these corrupt crows fear the effectiveness of youth involvement and therefore find ways, through the con-ass, to halt the REVOLUTION OF THE NEW GENERATION ?

+ Is this merely a way to create chaos and therefore build an avenue to declare martial-law [ again, rooting to having the president's will done in her own way]?

+ Is it because she wants more time to clean the mess she's [ and/or people behind her (e.g. FG Mike  Arroyo)] has done?

+ It is said that Con-Ass will chip-in P20 million more on the congressmen's Pork Barrel, therefore, is it giving more way to corruption?

+ Is it because the corrupt officials [especially in the lower house] have realized that the YOUTH now has been very active in movements as regards to ELECTING the RIGHT people to serve the nation and therefore, fear that they might not continue their dirty work anymore?

+ Is this another mean for protecting self-interest?

+ Is this in any way related to the the recent formation of the administration  party " Lakas-Kampi-CMD "?

OR

+ Is this con-con really important that it has to be done amidst the obvious. numerous resistance and disagreement by the FILIPINO PEOPLE?

+ Is this indeed clean of any corruption and is funded by pure thoughts by these officials to help the Filipino people?

+ Is there something that the Filipino people just don't understand again and again as to why the con-con has repeatedly been ressurected?

It is now time fellow Ateneans what can YOU say about this issue?

it's just hard to trust the government at all especially regarding this matter.

they don't even seem to consider what people are asking for right now...

it's such a drastic change and it will require tons of money to enact. something we all fear might just go to waste.

They say, that GMA will run as a congresswoman in pampanga. And so, if there is this Charter Change, we could have a parliamentary form of government. Changing the Congress into a parliament. Then, they would elect a prime minister among them who could be GMA. Thus extending her term, not as a president but as a Prime Minsiter. :|

Pero pag kailangan para masa, at hindi sila magbebenefit, tumatagal un proseso.

In a jiffy, I think the government has prioritize more problems other than what it is tackling right now... Like con-ass in the congress... And, wth, Hayden Koh in the Senate? You gotta be kidding me.
