Does anyone else have long breaks? On Mondays and Wednesdays, I have 2 1/2 hours of break time. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3 hours. I know it's because of the subjects I chose (they're kinda off).
Any suggestions on what to do? Especially on the first few weeks, when we really don't have much work yet.
^that sucks...my sched is kinda unbalanced coz i have a good sched for t&th, no breaks in between but i only have 2 subjects to take, but like an hour lunch break during m,w&f from 730-1630.

If you get tired of eating (which you will do a lot during breaks. haha!) or walking about the campus, I suggest that you sleep in the Matteo individual study tables (1st floor) OR you could use the internet services at CTC101/ Rizal Lib Ext. (In the RMT)/Matteo.

Yep! Well, the 1st sem of freshmen year is really the time of realxing. :) trust me, you'll feel that everybody's becoming a bum. Wala pa kasi nangyayari that time and the subjects are stuff that you've already learned about during HS. I remembered I used to sleep in Matteo during my 3 hr breaks. Just remember to wake up for the next class. hahaha!
I had 3 hour breaks during my first sem in freshman year. Trust me on this, you will eat your break away.
Long breaks used to be fun at first, but I got sick of them eventually.
Ways to kill time: Eat -- You'll never run out of places to eat: along Katipunan and its adjacent streets, across the flyover along Katipunan Extension, or in UP! Sleep -- Matteo Ricci or Rizal Library. Sit around in school with blockmates -- Matteo up (meaning, the second floor) Play video games -- You'll find a lot of places in Katipunan that offer PC and console gaming. Study -- Matteo, Rizal Library, coffee shops along Katipunan Go to the mall -- Gateway is just one train ride from LRT2 Katipunan to Araneta-Cubao. Eastwood is also a few minutes away from Katipunan by car.
Or if you're hardcore, well... there are other ways to have fun in Katips. But part of the fun is figuring it out for yourself.

having long breaks is normal. during my first sem as a freshman i had a 4:30 hour break during Tuesdays. some students even have breaks as long as 6+ hours! :P

Gah. Law. 6PM to 9PM, and the class before that ends at 1:30PM. :| I hated it.

hassle talaga kapag 6-9pm ung klase. last year (soph year) we'd have 6 hour breaks whenever there's an acctg or stat exam (from 6-9pm) since our last class ends at 12. major subjects usually have their exams around that time. D:
anyway, classes @ 7:30-9:00 MA 11. tapos PE @ 10-11, tapos FIL 11 @ 12:1:30. sakto lng breaks q. tapos ung PE pa pang-pagising pagkatapos ng math, at bago ng filipino. haha. math and filipino kc worst subjects q eh.
I have a three-hour break between MA 1 and ES 10. A very good way to study Math indeed. :D

For the first time, I have absolutely no breaks this semester (but my workload is relatively light than in previous semesters) and I think it's better than having lots of them!
