it really doesn't mean much. i think you can move up to ma 11 if you do well in the diagnostic exam..
i have friends who took ma 1 and/or eng 1 who get better grades than me :)) well di rin ako gaano nag-aaral (huwag tutularan) pero magaganda grades nakukuha namin :D
kung mahina ka talaga sa english at/o sa math hindi ibig sabihin mahina ka sa lahat! :)) hindi lang naman english at math ang nasa college eh :)) unless kasama talaga sa major mo, isang year lang may english at math! :))
neways, sulitin niyo na ang sems na may basic english and math. madali maging Deans Lister kasi pass or fail lang ata ang basic subjects...meaning kahit maka D equivalent ka sa eng/ma, pero A naman natsci at fil, quatro kid ka na! :))
Although my friend has a problem. Basic classes are non-credit and we need at least 15 units to get into the Dean's List right? So kulang syang units at bwisit na bwisit sya. :))

Sorry though if you took it that way. Pero I did say na it depended sa performance mo sa ACET. DOesnt mean that you're "mahina" kapag mababa ka sa isang test na un.
