its less than a week before we finally say hello to the strange world of college., i feel nostalgic na wala na ko sa comfy zone ng high school. nakakamiss ung mga panahong un, same with the people i'm with for four wacky years. kayo? what are the things that you'll miss or never forget that happened during your high school days?
ako, nung gumawa kame ng 400 sentences, one assignment lang un.haha
@Jelena: Even though at the start when I hated wearing a uniform and thought of many reasons why we should wear civilian clothing, I realized how life is so much easier with a uniform. No need to think of what to wear. No need to care about if your clothes match. Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
@kuroshiro: Hear here. I'll miss being in an all-girls school too.
@mcdonut: I agree. The thread made me feel nostalgic all of a sudden. What's your org?

@Mcdonut: Seriously!? Magicians-In-Training? It's so cool that your school had an org like that :D
Oh! I have another "Something I'll Never Forget," my obsession with JPop (That was pretty major. Hahaha.) And 4th Year English classes, I still remember a few things from there.
And Shakes(peare) Fest!

Hahahaha. It's so incredibly unique. What did you guys do? I mean, I assume you'll learn magic tricks and all that jazz, but besides that.
Hmm...well primarily we learn magic tricks and perform but our main goal (at least for last year) is to perform in outreaches. Also the org head and officers pretty much taught everything. The moderators were pretty hands-off so we had as much control as possible xD
another thing i can't forget:
the cafeteria and all the comfort food they sell xD

@Giselle: Oh em gee. You're a Jpop fanatic? =)) HAHAHA. I'm a ... J-K-C-Pop Fanatic! Just like 3-in-1 coffee. WAHAHAHA.
@Mcdonut: Coool. *O*
@miss_veron08: Our wing commander [since air force ang CAT namin] makes the COCC's sing and dance in the middle of the gym and/or field. :)) HAHA At inuutusang gumawa ng kape. Woo. HAHA.
@tenten: There was this one assignment for English that was given to us 2 weeks before it was due. Had to make a composition about our recent career tour. I power-napped that night but I woke up and it was already 5.50. :| I had to make it in 15 minutes. HAHA --- Got a perfect score though. [Lucky bastard. HAHA]
@Jelena: Yes, I will definitely miss my uniform too. I've worn it for 13 solid years. I've worn my sister's hand-me downs even. HAHAHA
Hm. As for me...
FIELD TRIPS.
1st year: Kat, I think this would be more memorable for you. =)) [Biak na Bato] 2nd year: Hm. I think Seven Lakes kami neto e. Okay lang. So-so. 3rd year: Bauan, Batangas. Snorkeling mehn. --- But sinundo ako ng tatay ko nung araw nato. YES. Sinundo nya ako sa Batangas. =___= 4th year: Banaue! HARD CORE FIELD TRIP! HAHA. We stayed there for 2 days and 1 night. Fun fun fun fun~! --- But I was chaperoned. YES. A chaperon on my last field trip.

I won't forget the sisterhood and the sportsfests. And the teachers. Kahit yung iba barok, madami magbigay ng homerwork, at believe it or not, tamad. I WONT FORGET THEM. :))
Oh, and of course, the friendships formed in that 4 years.
Eraserheads concert. Fall Out Boy concert. Some musicals I attended. The campus.
@howlpanda: Biak na Bato = Winner! That was the penultimate field trip in my entire High School Life! That's the only one I can remember actually (as I write this, I'm seriously trying to recall where we went third year and fourth year...second year just plainly sucked, so bad that I remember but choose to forget)
@Mcdonut: Cafeteria. All I remember is food I don't like eating. So I brought baon!
@sundayconfessions: That's right, the campus. I won't forget the campus (and my 12 years in that school), it always feels like home when I go there.
Ours was pretty small, but what I liked about it was that the moment you went in you practically knew everybody from student to manang (not all by name but you're familiar with their faces)
I won't forget the four retreats. First Year and Second Year: Antipolo. Third Year: Tagaytay (Prank Wars!). Fourth Year: Baguio (Uber favorite. Fr.Edwin Soliva is an epic priest.)

I'm feeling particularly trigger-happy in this thread :))
field trips: Biak-na-Bato: my shoes died and I rapelled(sp?) :O Mt. Makiling: guides made our lives a billion times harder; almost died Mt. Banahaw: Best, most challenging and most fulfilling field trip ever! Wawa Dam and La Mesa Eco Park: Sort of a downgrade from Banahaw; Paintball fail and epic boat riding :))

I would definitely miss the everyday routine of crossing the street to get to school. Yes, I only cross the street to get to school :)) So whenever I forget my homework or any book or material, I have the access to 'instant delivery'. Hahaha!

Aside from those epic teachers, unforgettable din yung mga un-epic. Like my teacher whose lectures were all snoozefest and a librarian who had terrible grammar. XD
Hmmm I'll never forget the retreats we had. We stayed for three days at a convent/retreat house in Tagaytay, and we all scared ourselves so much that we had to go to the bathroom in pairs. Haha I'll miss those people.
Oh, and I'll miss my physics teacher who taught us about the wisdom of asking for the leg and thigh part at fast food joints and iceless drinks, plus the evils of Selecta and Nestle ice cream lol.
@miss_veron08: OMG, AKO RIN! WTF, I WAS PAIRED WITH THE MOST NOTORIOUSLY KNOWN DORKIEST [EMPHASIS ON DORKIEST] GUY IN THE WHOLE SCHOOL!!!!! FOR EVERY SINGLE PROM!!!!! [They both smelled funky. I swear. :|]

@howlpanda: JPop! The only KPop I listened to was DBSK's Mirotic and Dou****e Kimi...(too long to write) That took over the latter part of my Junior life and most of my senior life.
@mackyntosh: Oooh, Sign Language Org. Another type of org I'd never heard of/imagined to ever be in existence.
I remember 2nd year, Florante at Laura Musical :|. Choral Recitation of Shakespearean Soliloquies (Save for Macbeth). Shakespeare production. Running from the classroom to AV3 to get to English Class. Research Paper. (It's mostly all English subject related. It was one of my favorite classes

ei! CAT officer ka rin pala nung HS? ako rin, CAT officer...
Things I Miss sa HS (san beda alabang) :
1. ung school uniform (palaging nawawala yung necktie ko... ang luwag kasi eh :P) 2. commanding my flight sa CAT. :D 3. being a member of the student council for two years or so. :) 4. yung mga convocations (quarterly awarding para sa mga honor students) na super boring... although palagi ako nakakasama dun, nabobore parin tlga ako nang husto :P 5. cramming before long tests, quizzes & quarter exams! 6. school plays... i was always a part of this. 7. cheering competition (lagi nawawala boses ko sa kakacheer) 8. friends & classmates (cyempre!) 9. CRUSHES (mas lalong cyempre.. JOKE) 10. playing the violin during school activities, solo or with a band. :D 11. teachers!!! (well, some :D) 12. kapag pmpnta sa bahay ng isang classmate para gmawa ng project
sa totoo lng, mula NURSERY hanggang 4th YEAR HS, SBCA (also known as "Bene" or "Beda") has been forever my 2nd home. Never ako lumipat ng school... I almost did after elementary, dapat lilipat ako sa Pisay, but I still chose Bene. :P Kaya 1st time ko tlga lilipat ngaun ng school :D

i feel your pain! :P i was also paired with weird guys during our prom. tapos ang nangyari pa sakin, since mas mdme tlgang boys kesa girls sa school namin, i was always paired with 2 guys (both junior & senior prom)! it was always the same scenario - one guy was too shy & quiet (natakot ata sakin?!) while the other's too weird & even looked like he wanted to kill me once!!! :S
I went to the Switchfoot concert on a school night with our final exam on Math the next day. Epic concert. Math = Good Enough.
Debate.

haha. Ako naman after Achievement Test I went to my fave band's concert. all the way from our province (5 hour drive to Manila!). nakakapagod but worth it haha di ko nga lang maalala kung pumasa ako sa test na yun.
@Giselle: Dou****e Kimi o Suki ni Natte Shimattandarou!!! =)) HAHAHAHA. Wooo. Alaveeet. =))
@emo_iceprincess: Woo. Mehn. I was taller than them. Without heels. Gah. And they always ditched practices so super weird namin sumayaw nung cotillion!! I loathe prom. :| HAHA.
Cool, San Beda ka pala? Our schools' not-so far from each other then. :))

eto maganda. nung finals namin lahat halos ng test multiple choice. BUONG BATCH nagkopyahan. in our section we had a strategy to find out the answers for a particular number. lahat kami pasado. hahaha
igla ko naalala, nung 3rd yr. ako, I ran for the SC, and we were required to do something during the meeting de avance, so my friend(a girl) and I decided to sing "Someday We'll Know"... lol grabe. nung second time ng chorus, 'someday we'll know if love can move a mountain, someday we'll know...' biglang napasigaw ako ng "WWHHYYY the sky is blue!!!" Grabe the audience roared in laughter. I never sang on stage since. :)) And to add insult to injury, I lost by a landslide :P
@nonfatmintlatte- Cheating is common in our school, haha. Sabi nga ng alumni nasa culture na daw namin(not proud of it). It's weird because the teachers actually know we're doing it but they don't care. Especially in Chinese class. Once the teacher turns her back on us, we spring into action. haha... I'll change in college, of course :)

Hahaha! Uniforms, definitely! --> bakit walang uniform Ateneo??
Tapos yung ACP (similar to CAT pero Air Force) namin, first time nanalo last year yung school namin sa Drill Competition. XD I'll miss being S1. (Mam Uno ^^) Lahat ng squat thrust, squats, push ups, pagod, iyakan. Talagang blood, sweat and tears!
SABOG! XD
Instead na may seat plan during exams, may cheat plan. =]
Tapos the majority of the 4th year voted for someone in SC who as not included sa mga tatakbo. XD Grabe, galit yung admin!! Para daw kaming mga war freaks! (We just wanted equality, for our voices to be heard. Hahaha.)
Tapos imitation ng teachers. XD classic!!
Nakakainggit naman yung mga field trips nyo. Kami walang field trip ng 3rd year. 4th year naman sa Corregidor lang tapos bitin kasi puro tour. T.T
Oh em gee. I remember. Teachers' Day. I swear. I'm not cut out for a job in education because I cannot tolerate children. Well. A bit. :))
Spoiler
Teachers' Day -- A day when the teachers' can stay in the faculty lounge and/or have a program especially made for them in the gym and it lasts for a whooole day. Juniors and seniors take their places in the classrooms. Oh and even the Admin and Non-teaching staff get their breaks too. :D
I was teaching Civics for middle school during Teachers' Day when I was in 3rd year. I hated the 4th and 5th graders. Very, very, very unruly children. :| When I was teaching my last class, the notoriously known grade 4, the class was in a total mess. No one was listening even if I bribed them with candy. :| Just when my head was about to blow off, there was this fat Korean kid who raised his hand and asked a question.
"Teacher! Why is your voice so small?"

The next year I was in middle school too, but fortunately, I taught Grade 7 math lang. Yey! :)) I like grade 7. They're neither too old or too young. HAHA
I could've bitten his head off that very moment. =____= HAHA. Buti nalang lumipat na sya the year after. HAHA

we used to have a so called "90-10" principle in physics dedicated to our teacher in Physics 90% kwentuhan 10% lesson hahaha., ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i will never forget how the word SURPRISE is exemplified in the word SURPRISE QUIZ and this is how my English teacher astonished us...
pumasok sya sa room, we're all expecting for a quiz. kasi sabi nea he might give one. so ininspect namin gamit nya, even his body (kasi minsan nakasiksik sa pants nea or sa shoes). wala kaming nakita. so we felt we're already safe. lesson lang today then dumating ung messenger, kala namin may memo lang na papa-sign. lumabas si sir then nung bumalik... waw!! accomplice pala si manong mensahero.. so we had the quiz. and the rule was,
use your left hand if you're right-handed, and right if you're left-handed astig, hirap nung essay..hahaha
1. Battle of the Bands! Our batch dominated the show, hahahaha, and we won too 2. Lockers, full of things, d aq naglalabas 3. Petix, from 2nd year to 4th year di aq nag-aaral 4. I learned dota! 5. I learned to play just about every instrument I can play right now! 6. Staying single the whole HS, it's worth it, I assure you 7. The epic MTAP guys, I had fun working with those guys and especially our coach and Math teacher, Sir Chua 8. Anti-Sadsad movement ng QueSci! 9. Epic classmates, I'll never make through without them 10. epic teachers, they're really fun 11. The UPCAT/ACET/DLSUCET/USTET tension! 12. And of course, with the tension, also the reward 13. ULTRA-petix moments (no classes) 14. The storms 15. The promenades, I was satisfied with them 16. Grad Ball, very emotional 17. of course, CRAMMING
and there's just something in high school that I can't explain
