I'd like to readdress my inquiry about the baunans.. Do we really need to bring one? Di ba kami makakakain if we don't have one?

For me, capris are more comfortable than jeans. Since we're gonna be running, I'd rather wear my stretchy capris :D

On baunans: if im not mistaken, food will be provided by the orsem sponsors (last year, it was jollibee and fab)

On pants: mas safe ang pants. if ever madapa kayo (pero wag naman sana), mas protected kayo kung pants ang suot nyo.

On pants as part of dresscode: no. pwede kayong magshorts on regular days. like me, araw araw akong nakashorts. Shorts is not a violation of dresscode, except for athletic shorts, short shorts, etc.

basically, orsem idol is like a talent show: one orsem idol for singing, one for dancing :D.

So why do we need to bring baunans if there are sponsors?

 

hey, just to clarify some things:



1 - baunan: we will be giving you baunans on the FIRST DAY of orsem. lunch will be served daily. but since the ateneo has the BYOB (Bring Your Own Baunan) system in school, on the SECOND and THIRD days of orsem, we will be needing you guys to bring them to school again. kaya siya nasa reminders kasi we can't serve you the food without the baunans.



2 - capris and shorts: we will be strict on this. you have to wear PANTS for the duration of the orsem.



3 - school nights: there will be school nights. please note the following:

SOH – June 11, 4:30 – 7pm

SOM - June 15, 4:30 – 7:30pm

SOSE – June 11, 5 – 8:30pm

SOSS – June 10, 5pm – 8pm



4 - orsem letters: orsem letters are to be sent this week. all the details you'll need to know about orsem will be there. the letters, the reminders, etc. please be patient as we are trying to send these letters to everyone on time. if by JUNE 3 you have not received yours, please call us at 9291029.



5 – slippers and sandals: please do wear rubber shoes. It is for your own good that we ask you to wear them. Again the orsem volunteers will be strict on this.



6 – orsem kits: the orsem kits are different from the orsem letters. The kits are not sent by snail mail. The kits are given on the first day of your orsem.



7 – registration: the orsem committee does not handle this. Please visit http://regcom.ateneo.edu for more details regarding your registration schedules and procedures.



8 – IDs: the orsem committee does not handle this. Please contact ADSA for this.



9 – blocks: block lists will be released by the registrar’s office. For those who will be unable to drop by the Ateneo to see the list, the secretariat committee will try to upload the list once we have it.


10 - registration for orsem day 1: orsem will be at the college covered courts. registration will be by school.

in claiming your ID, you need to bring your official receipt :D

As mentioned above, baunans will be provided for in the first day. However, you must bring them again on the second and third day. And yes, food will be served, as long as you have a baunan since ateneo is following a BYOB system (bring your own baunan)

^you don't need the orsem letter. all you need to do is show up on the day itself June 10, and register at the college cov. courts.
