why ateneo???? THATS SIMPLE!!!! first of all, I LOVE BLUE!!!! BLUE is my blood!!! and the best part of it is I just feel like I belong here!!! the people in the campus are all very warm-hearted and welcoming!!! so the decision between UP and ADMU wasnt that difficult... hehehe btw, I didn't take the DLSU-CET!!! ahahaha
since the start of 3rd yr i guess, my mind was just so straight forward for ateneo!!! so you could say its also my DREAM SCHOOL!!! :D
june last year ko lang na-realize na gusto ko sa ateneo. dati, i was really hoping to study in UP diliman. doon kasi nag-aral ang brother ko. when i got the results from the four entrance exams that i took, i had a bit of a hard time choosing between UP and ADMU (the reason i took dlsucet and ustcet was just to secure a school to go to in case i didn't pass upcat or acet, :D) but i dunno. even though my mom and dad told me to choose UP kasi nga, mas mura doon, tapos yun nga, doon nag-aral ang isa kong kapatid, i still chose ADMU.
andaming factors kung bakit Ateneo pinili ko. tsaka, iba eh. iba yung dating pag atenista ka. hahaha! the way they dress, how they speak (english man o filipino), their unity...marami pang iba. of course, best education you can get.
eh basta. atenean na ako. haha!
and about the upcat and acet... parang oo nga. parang mas mahirap yung acet.

Ateneo has more friendly people compared to where I studied in Grade School. I was proven correct in High School. I'm pretty sure College will prove me correct as well.
Kasi nabrainwash ako ng dad ko. :P JOKE! Nah, because it's the best school in the country! Although partly yes, since my dad is also an alumnus of the university, he was the one who encouraged me to choose The Ateneo for my college. :)
hm. why ateneo nga ba? ewan. if you asked me many years ago, even when i was reviewing for college entrance exams, i would have told you that my ultimate dream was to study in UP. kaso, i really didn't notice na i was already shifting my 'allegiance' to Ateneo. haha.
well, isa sa mga unang univs na naglabas ng entrance exam results was AdMU, so tuwang-tuwa naman ako dahil napasa ko, bitter on the other hand dahil i didn't pass the scholarship. anyhoo, parang nainspire siguro ako to take this opportunity to study at AdMU dahil marami sa classmates ko ang gustong mag-aral doon and they didn't pass, and that ever since noon pa siguro, konting-konti lang talaga ang pumapasa sa AdMU sa school namin kaysa sa UP. pinakamarami na siguro ung sa batch namin, we were 6 who passed and two of those were from sections other than the honors' section.
second, my status in UP was DPWS. so, i had a school but no course, compared to Ateneo that i had the course i was really longing for. another is that our CLE teacher advised that those who would like to study medicine or such should enter Catholic or Christian schools.
isa pang dagdag na maconvince ako e ung best friend ko na pumasa sa scholarship. pareho lang kami na gustong magUP, sa UP-M din. e kaso scholar siya sa AdMU kaya todo convince naman siya sa akin. ayan tuloy. HAHA.
lastly, fave color ko BLUE! haha.
sorry naman, it's too long. but it was really painstaking to come to a decision like this. mamatay-matay ako sa pagpili pa lang. HAHA.

Hhmmm... like most of you I passed all the other exams as well, but I chose ADMU over the others because of: Quality of education It's a 10-minute drive from my house May dating :)) Most of my friends study in La Salle now... And I want to be different. And also, my former school's motif is green, I'm sick of green haha I'm the only person in our batch of 60+ students to pass the ACET lol I don't like uniforms Judging from what I've heard from my friends, mayabang talaga mga La Sallites :) And I seriously don't like people with overwhelming personalities. From what I'm seeing Ateneans are more well-rounded and nicer, not to mention simpler. All of my sisters graduated from UST, so para maiba naman.

I've wanted to study in UP at first because my friends and I had dreams to study together. Even now, I hear my younger friends tell me how they dream of UP too. But you know, I guess things change. Right now, we three will study at different schools even though we all fulfilled our short-term dream of passing the UPCAT (one will be living our UP dream, though, lol).
A few weeks after the June, I've received so many good words about Ateneo - from my cousin, from my schoolmate, which eventually made me reconsider. Then I discovered the course Information Design (the one I'm about to take) and fell in love with the description at once. I thought: this is the course I want. I forced myself to take Journalism in UP (I loved writing; I don't like Journalism much), so it was no contest.
My parents agree, too.
Just hearing Ateneo makes me feel safe and ready for the future. I guess the name and the reputation of the school makes you REALLY want to try your best to live up to it. Also, I've sold my soul to Ateneo already, and refunds aren't possible. Lol. Just kidding. /lame

Oo nga eh. Lakas ng hatak ng parents, haha. Pero at least kami, pare-pareho ng gusto. Nakaka-brainwash yung dinner; it was very convincing and it made me feel proud even if I hadn't enrolled in yet, haha.
OT@ Woi, ikaw nagturo sakin dito, lol.

well, UP was my dream school talaga...admittedly, we cant afford Ateneo because of its tuition fee...
but in the upcat results, i did not pass in my 1st choice course (BS Molecular Bio and Biotech) which was my "target" course in UP Diliman...
yet i passed in my choices and the tests of Ateneo, La Salle and UST (not to boast naman, but to illustrate my point)..
and i passed the scholarship in Ateneo!!....my family truly considered it a blessing talaga..sobra..
sabi nga ng ibang forummers, "love at first sight ang Ateneo"..well, agree!!..during those times i visited the campus,..super-mesmerizing talaga...
and another factor is that Ateneo is a Catholic school..nag-aral din ako sa isang Catholic sch nung elem ako, but in HS, hindi na...parang its good to be back, in the sense that most are of my religion, the spiritual guidance is there (andyan ang Church of the Gesu, and the Jesuit Priests), and andyan ang Ignatian spirituality, which i will yet experience...
and..
Bukaspalad rocks!!..haha

Looking forward to being part of "The Ateneo Way"...Ateneo=MAGIS!
La Salle was my original plan, then card distribution was nearing and I was already planning to submit my application. Then I saw my acceptance letter to ADMU and it got me thinking.
I realized that I managed to convince myself I really wanted to go to DLSU because a) my older sister, who I idolize, went there; b) I had some background on it since my sister went there; c) Most (nearly all actually) of my friends were going there.
Actually, at the start I never even thought I'd pass Ateneo, I just wanted to take the ACET. But I went through the website, called up the school, asked for some information, talked to my friends who are going there; lo and behold, I'm starting to bleed blue.
And the campus is pretty (Hahaha). And I wanted to go to a school where I won't see the same faces I did in High School, EVERYWHERE. At least here, it's a select number. And I love most of them. And I wanted to try something I have very little info on.

I was able to pass a UP Campus, DLSU, at UST pero why Ateneo?
Safe (di ka in danger from frat) Di mahirap pumasok dahil hindi congested ang daan papunta. Hindi bahain.
Bukod sa good environment at good education, maganda ang facilities. As a plus, malapit lang ang University na to sa bahay namin. Pwede ngang lakarin pag naiwan ang baon eh

Hmmm kung tutuusin ayaw ng parents ko na mag AdMU ako kasi it's quite far away from where I'm gonna be staying. Di pa naman ako marunong magcommute. XP. They wanted me to go to Assumption, kasi bukod sa 20-30 minutes lang by foot, may scholarship din. At first I was fine with that, pero when I found out I passed the ACET I was like, " WTH, how the heck did that happen?!" haha kasi di ko talaga ineexpect na papasa ako. So from then on I did everything to convince my parents na pag AdMU-hin nalang ako, and in no way was it easy, lalo na sa papa ko it was like arguing with a wall. . Sayang yung opportunity kasi tatlo lang from our school yung pumasa, and one of them's a really good friend of mine, so dalawa kaming maga-AdMU. =]
Haha it's funny how we each have our own stories on why we chose AdMU. =]. Excited na ko pumasok, everybody seems so nice and welcoming.
