Haha! thank you for the tips! kasi I just started to study here from 3rd year of high school. Kaya hindi pa po talaga ako sure sa mga naririnig ko. Naging aware lang ako sa mga universities during the summer bago mag 4th year. Search ako ng search sa net for these. Kasi di ko talaga alam kung pano ang college system in any universities, lalo na sa ADMU. Haha! Kaya ko toh! Di dapat ako matakot!
wth is a dollhouse??? LOL!!! but I have a hunch who and what they are!!! I had a friend who once told me sumthing about them... nt xur though!!! but she became a victim of them dollhouse people during her freshman years i think... bsta!!! she told me, iwasan lng dw tlga ung dollhouse and everyone related to it... hahaha
Unless you're an utterly irrational homophobe (well, boo to you if that is the case), no reason to get scared about the Dollhouse. They're a friendly bunch. :-bd
di ko rin alam eh... pero parang... she told me there was this some kind of an org of homo people... one thing she told me was stay away from them... i think her story was something like this, she was called by one person and they talked and talked for about 30 mins or so, then suddenly the one she was talking to said: "excuse me? im not talking to you" when she turned around, there was another person and so everybody there laughed at her. bottomline is she was put to shame... but im not so sure if those were the one from the dollhouse though... bsta she told me they were homos... so id rather stay away nlng...

Well, why not snap back? :))
pwede ngang mg snap back kaso parang ng iisa lng ata siya nun eh tapos sa tingin ko puros upperclassmen silang lahat eh...
Quick note: Watch out for the higad (AKA itchyworms -- yes, that's where they got their name) in the Zen Garden, especially on rainy days. My friend caught a bad allergy once. She was bloating red all over. :s
Don't worry about the Dollhouse. People there can be nice. :p
Zen Garden? Wow.. we really need to tour this place. I've got no clue where those places are. Higad. >.<
Wait, so these Dollhouse people, they're students, too right? How exactly do they get admitted to that house? Hahaha! Sorry, out of curiosity. It's soooo... interesting.

yah, i think there students. I couldn't really answer your question though cause I for one don't know much about them. They are still quite mysterious to me.
Here's a collection of tips i retrieved from last year's orsem forum. they were posted by the different upperclassmen last year :D
Macci (Matteo Ricci) is the only study hall where you can eat and make noise. HAHA. so have a table reserved for your barkada or block during your break time.
For the love of everything that is holy, NEVER EVER call the Matteo Ricci Study Hall as "Macci." We, upperclassmen, are baffled why the incoming sophomores (last year's freshies) started calling it that. Please don't call it that. Huwag na maging pa-cool. It's been called Matteo for years, no need to change it. Apparently, some pa-cool TNT or whoever involved in last year's OrSem called it "Macci," and the freshies followed.

The Dollhouse people are some of the nicest, most fun people ever. They just hang out there, and it's everyone else making a big deal about them.
Hey, until they [Dollhouse] do something to you, don't make Dollhouse sound they are rude people. That's just plain wrong.
I second this, Macky. :D That's just so mean. Freshies, for heaven's sake, have the least right to be judgmental as they enter the university.
relax lang. They're just anxious since it's very alien to them. if you read the comments, us upperclassmen haven't been really helpful at disclosing what dollhouse really is and opting for them to be surprised.
who knows, they might be thinking somewhere along the lines of fraternities or something threatening...
that being said, Dollhouse is harmless and the people there are actually very nice!
and on another note, i was rather surprised seeing more posts about dollhouse in a DOS and DON'TS topic.
Cos we kept seeing the Dollhouse on the DOs and DONTs on the first posts, so we became curious. XD Guys, punta tayo dun during our self-orientation!
I have a question though. How does the cellphone policy work during classes? Are you suppose to turn it off or silent or no texting during discussions or no answering calls or or or..?

Most (maybe all) profs require you to either turn them off or keep them in silent/vibrate mode. So that usually means no texting or calling.
Keep the prof's rule on this in mind, because sometimes they give out punishments. My Filipino prof's rule was that he'd give the entire class a quiz whenever somebody's phone rings.

some profs dont even care about cellphone :D but some are on the extreme. i had a fil prof too that if he hears a phone ring, or someone puts out a cellphone, he'll end the class and walk out

just take note of their rules to be safe
Ma'am Ibarra (Accounting prof, SOM and MEC students will meet her in 2nd year) would take your phone and throw in in the trash bin. Once, my friend's phone ended up in the biodegradable bin. Ick.

Wow.. threw out the phone. Wow.. Just wow.
Yikes Sa HS some teachers threatened to throw away books/ntbks/stuff na nakakalat, but then again, they were just threats... but I think one time they threw a notebook away.
Oh~ and and aaand is there any other precautions concerning phones/electronic gadgets?
Anything would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance! ^^
the dress code is only applicable at certain places. some teachers also enforce a dress code in their class.
i remember SOM having a dress code as well as the Library. Some lab classes also require closed toe footware for protection.
as far as i know bawal mga sleeveless, slippers, board shorts...ewan na :)) i rarely wear those so i've rarely concerned myself about the dress code...
Cos I remember reading in some other forums that some people play their psp during classes? Or wala lang yun?
that's in big classes where the teacher doesn't really have much control over the students. it's easy to hide.. i have friends who play during economics class and that was a class of almost 100.
it's not necesarily allowed but some get away with it.

My friend manages to full-on play Pet Society and chat on Facebook pag boring yung class. Hahaha!
KIDS, WAG TULARAN! Hahaha! Concentrate muna pag freshie. You might regret not going DL when it's still easy.
