you could check that for last year's accredited orgs. may descriptions na rin un. last year, binigyan kami ng parang manual about orgs under coa. nakalagay dun ung description as well as membership details.
since math major ka, AMS is your home org :D
also, aside from the orgs under coa, marami pang ibang orgs (either unaccredited or is not just part of coa, like ANI) na pwedeng salihan :D
Do all orgs have, like, a maximum number of recruitees they can take in? :-ss
as far as i know, they dont have a quota on the number of recruitees (or maybe not). basta each orgs have their own way of recruitment, screening and retentiond :D you could look for an upperclass na member nang org na gusto mong salihan or you could wait for recweek and ask the orgs :D
Thank you sa link! :) Automatic naba na AMS ako dahil sa course? :D
Nope. :) there's this event in admu every year called the Recruitment Week (Recweek) kung saan magssign-up tayo sa gusto nating orgs. Usually may bayad per org then may interview after nun. Pero yung ibang org hindi nagpapabayad.
Mahalagang pag-isipan niyo na yung orgs na gusto niyo beforehand para hindi masayang yung ibabayad niyo. ^_^
Pamiela, join ka AMS! haha ^_^ oh btw, non-math majors are also encouraged to join AMS. hehe.
Marami ring magandang ibang orgs, depende sa trip, depende sa "activeness level" mo. hehe ^^

Pam nalang po. Hahaha :)) Tignan ko muna, pwede namang more than one org diba? "D Ahahay, excited na ako!
...i was planning to join 3 orgs.:ACIL, MISA and GABAY, but i'm scared that it would take too much time.. you know, i still have 2 take care of my academics... ..Do u think it's advisable to take these 3? How active should you be? ...gosh... I think, the first and the latter are fulfilling, but i don't want to omit my home org. Please help me decide...

having many orgs does not mean less time for academics :D some people still manage to get into the dean's list even if they are very active in their own org/s. i have 3 orgs, still, my academics did not suffer (consider that i was only a freshie last year, so the load is still quite light)
on taking 3 orgs: it depends on how willing you are, and your capacity on being active: different orgs have different classification of activeness. one sure measure though is attendance (in GAs, activities of the org, etc). Some orgs give credit to volunteer works, others also look at grades.
You can take three orgs. after a year, i believe you would have known what orgs you want to stay in, and what orgs you are willing to drop. Just collect, then you can select afterwards

aside from COA, there are several other orgs. they are either unaccredited (like LitSoc) or are just simply not part of COA (like ANI, Guidon, Matanglawin and Heights)

Hi! I'm from the GUIDON. Issues are always received monthly, so don't forget to get a copy in the news stands.
Oh, and JOIN GUIDON! :D
