push on with it :p I was so hyped up for orsem too :| If they're going to delay orsem, they should push back classes too since having classes before the orientation is pretty O_O

Well.. push through :P First thing, kung may swine flu ka, wag ka na lang pumunta sa OrSem :| quarantine mo sarili mo sa bahay. Second, every batch had it, medyo unfair for our batch :P at awkward lahat sa start ng year :P Third, well.. ewan ko :)
Suggestion: make everyone wear masks... then everyone would be familiar with each other's eyes but their noses and mouths remain a mystery :> =)) wala lang
nakakatawa ka rin ah hahaha
but yeah.
Although I understand the health risks of a large gathering especially with this somewhat flu threatening to take our lives, ORSEM would be so boring and useless if we have it when we all know each other and the campus already. Plus, it hasn't been (1) fatal to anyone in the country yet and (2) affected too many yet.
I think people should just be checked by their own doctors beforehand and give a medical clearance to attend the ORSEM (and classes). No medical clearance, no ORSEM...Why cancel the whole thing?
An idea: Since they're requiring freshmen to complete their shots if they haven't had any of those infectious diseases [e.g. chicken pox, measles, blah], why don't they just require everyone else to have flu vaccinations? =O= Because I am required to take three shots [chicken pox, MMR and tetanus, and it sucks] and one more wouldn't make a difference. = =
Moving OrSem sucks, especially when I just found friends before OrSem. And it's even the most-awaited sesqui-landmark year, it sure will be memorable because its the only OrSem to be moved. =____= I don't really want classes to be moved because staying at home is driving me nuts already but I'd rather agree to moving the first day because it makes no sense to even have an OrSem AFTER the first day.
*sigh* u____u

It's somewhat of a blessing for those who will be self-quarantined (and by extention, miss OrSem) that OrSem was moved. I'm arriving from Japan on June 9, and I have to undergo voluntary self-quarantine!
Then again, better it be moved than kept and someone had A(H1N1), unless you love a ten-day lockdown of the campus. But who wouldn't? Although the admin knows what's best for us, they can at least speedy up the dissemination of information.

^hey are you josh lim from csa? i see you in the debate circuit sometimes.
--- maybe it's not such a bad thing that orsem was postponed. la salle won't be having classes for 10 days because of a confirmed a(h1n1) case from one of their foreign exchange students. the suspension runs from june 4-14.
But is I think this is for the best. Heard the news? there was an h1n1 case at lasalle, classes suspended...better safe than sorry...yan kasi ang aga ng pasukan nila :)

they said in one correspondence (i forgot if it was e-mail or comment) that the ORSEM would be revised...since by the time of the RE-SCHEDULED ORSEM (July 3-4), we have already toured the campus..so the campus tour part would be omitted or will be replaced by a more enriching activity..
share lang.. :)
