New ID Application Process?

I came across this memo while surfing the web. It shows a different way to apply for the school ID when compared to the Freshman Primer. I haven't had my picture taken yet. So, do I have to do this, or do I just stick to what the Freshman Primer says when I apply for my ID? I am so confused.

MEMO TO: ALL LOYOLA SCHOOLS DEPARTMENTS, OFFICES & STUDENTS

FROM: Mr. Rene Salvador R. San Andres
Associate Dean for Student Affairs

RE: CHANGES IN STUDENT I.D. APPLICATION AND VALIDATION PROCEDURES FOR FIRST SEMESTER, SY 09-10

Please be advised that as part of safety precautions the University is taking against the possible spread of the Influenza A (H1N1) virus, there will be no “ADSA ID stop” during the first semester registration. Instead:

1. Validation of previously released SY 09-10 IDs (issued during the summer) will be moved to the opening of classes on staggered dates: June 30 for Sophomores; July 1 for Juniors; July 2 for Seniors.
2. For new ID applications, pictures and signatures on-file from the previous year will be used. Release of these new IDs will also be on staggered dates: June 15-17 for Freshmen; June 18-19 for Seniors; June 22-24 for Sophomores; June 25-26 for Juniors; June 22-26 for Graduate School and non-degree.
3. New students (e.g., transferees) who do not have any pictures and/or signatures on file with the ADSA Office should email digital renderings of both to adsa@admu.edu. ph within 2 days of registration, with the following specifications:

The EMAIL should originate from your registered e-mail address in AISIS or with the ADGS/ADAA
The SUBJECT of the email should read: ID picture and signature for (ID#, LASTNAME FIRSTNAME)
For example: ID picture and signature for 081234, REYES JOSE
The BODY of the email should indicate:
ID#:
Student name (Last, First, MI):
Year and course:
OR# of Tuition Receipt and date of payment:
The ATTACHMENTS should comply with the following guidelines:
For digital pictures:
• File size: 60kb-100kb
• Format: JPEG
• Filename: ID number (e.g. 081234.jpg)
• Picture specifications:
o Colored
o Plain white background
o Taken from chest level upwards, with allowance above the head
o Subject should face straightforward (no angled shots)
o Formal pose (ample smiles; no frowns or funny faces)
For digital signatures:
• File size: 6kb-40kb
• Format: monochrome bitmap
• Filename: ID number (e.g. 081234.bmp)
• Suggested procedure:
o Use a black sign pen or thin black pentel to render your official signature (no initials or drawings) on ¼ sheet of clean bond paper
o Scan the paper and save as monochrome bitmap
o If unable to save as monochrome bitmap, open with MS Paint and save as monochrome bitmap

Please be guided accordingly. For inquiries, please contact Ms. Joanne Serrano or Mr. Cholo Mallillin at loc 5021, 0920-9142372 or at adsa@admu.edu. ph.

Whoops, it seems that the ID picture database has been corrupted. Ateneo sent me an SMS stating that we must use the new guidelines.
