The caf is big but it's filled with chairs. There are circular tables but they won't accommodate your number in a single table. You'd be better off in an open area like the ones in between De La Costa Hall and the Social Sciences Building, or the Zen Garden, or the SEC field.
Hmm.. oh yeah, do you think we need to tell the admu admin/orcom/sanggu etc. about our "orsem"? baka pagalitan tau or maybe di payagan? baka kc biglang pagdating ntin dun paalisin tau ni manong guard...Just being concerned! :D
Dunno, havent been there (yes i know im a clueless freshie, and thats why we need orsem before classes), know that i got that out of my system, maybe we'll fit, but wont we look weird? hahaha everyone will look at us and say: "WTH?" :P
Oh yeah by the way, galing mo wickedgossip, showing qualities of a good leader for organizing this and such, Wickedgossip for Sanggu!, lol...
Haha I know what you mean. If I were an upperclassman myself I'd have that reaction, too! And thanks for the compliment! Haha. I wasn't in on this one alone, tho. I conspired with Aly. :)
Now that we know we won't fit in the caf, I think we'd just make that as our meeting place then head off somewhere else for the activities. :))
UPDATE: I don't think they'd mind, since we're not exactly breaking any rules there. But if they do, we hatfa be ready to kick some butt. Kidding! :))

Haha hindi ko alam eh. LMAO baka mamaya lahat ng freshies pumunta. :))
what i know is comtech freshies have their own pre-orsem. i was planning to go to the self-orientation but i guess i cnt come. :( see you guys around the campus on june 10! :D
How about we uhmm, make a big circle and introduce ourselves by standing in the middle? :)
How about instead of making a big circle for the whole batch, seperate the whole group into the different schools and let them introduce themselves with each other? I know its very limiting, but its more possible to do.
Hmm. Okay, so we'll do just that. :) D'you think there'd be more than 100?
I'm guessing less actually. It's a promising self-organized event i can tell you that but then again, its less spread than the orsem itself (of course). Be hopeful, but most important of all, be prepared.
Just to inform you, TnT core (the core handling your OrSem faci's) has just announced that the moved TnT training will start on June 10. You *might* run into your faci's there o.o

Wonder what they'll think of our little "gathering"... :D
Like some help in handling this. For the activities, blah blah blaah. :)
Well, let me list some things you can do and the others can help you with in order to make this activity more organized and eventful.
1. I noticed you already got a thread started in order to make a list of all those who will attend. Make sure that on that day itself, you bring the list in order to make sure if everyone did come and if ever they're others as well.
2. Let them already go to their school "circles" immediately after they arrive.
3. Assign some people who will handle the individual circles. Its harder for you to handle each and everyone of them so TRY to assign.
4. Always start with an ice breaker.
5. Try to get someone who knows the campus well enough that you can at least have a tour.

*I'll do that. Thanks!

*Well, right now the only confirmed schools to attend are SOSE, SOSS, and possibly SOH.
4. Always start with an ice breaker.
*I think I have some ice breaker cards here. :)
5. Try to get someone who knows the campus well enough that you can at least have a tour.
*Gaah I don't know any freshmen, but Aly does. I'll contact her.
Not to ruin the whole innovative idea of actually creating our own orsem, but don't you think it would be more fruitful if we waited for "professional" help? :p
oh btw, if it's not much of a bother, please post another topic of the final decisions for this activity when you're done organizing and etc etc so that people won't have to read through this long thingy :D thanx!

I remember we had this group thing sa reco where we were divided into 5 groups tas each group was divided into 2 lines and we moved to the left after talking with the person in front of us.
Gets niyo ba? Maybe we can do that so we would be able to know everyone? :)
@WickedGossip: I asked na and 2 of my friends agreed to tour us sa 10th. :)

Tama ka rainier.. hehe.. ako nga nag-iisa lang from my school... pero i think the self orientation is the best way para maalis ang feeling na alone tayo...

Guys, are you expecting alot of activities on the 10th? 'Cuz I just want to remind you all that this self-orientation thingy won't be like the actual OrSem, where you get to ask alot of questions about our school. :) So maybe we'll introduce, then eat, tour, and just hang out.
