i was shocked upon hearing this in the news. the biggest percentage of HS seniors from san beda alabang went to DLSU. pati nga yung isa kong kabarkada, dun nag-aaral ngayon! sana lang wala sa kanila ang naapektuhan.
....Seriously, what's so deadly about the H1N1 virus? :/
Anyway, I really hope no one else got infected. :/ I have friends who study there din. :/

mild lng symptoms ng A(H1N1) katulad lng ng seasonal flu
mahirap lng xang matanggal kac wala pang immunity dun
karamihan ng mga namatay ay dahil sa underlying illnesses, practically those who have asthma, and the pregnants.
and karamihan ng mga namatay ay galing Mexico, and mostly dahil hindi pa nila alam na mei bagong strain, too late na nung naagapan nila, and since na nakapagready naman tau, there's nothing to worry
ang kinakatakutan lng nila ngaun ung pag-merge ng swine flu tsaka bird flu kac parehas clang unstable

well.. there's a way to cure em.. right? wikipedia says that there are antiviral drugs called oseltamivir (Tamiflu) and zanamivir (Relenza) which goes against the virus and bla bla bla :P
around 123 have died and 18,965 have it (searched :P).. sooo the % of it being deadly's even less than a percent :P

hm. as far as i know, tamiflu's only for the regular flu; it won't do much against the H1N1 virus. also, it's pretty bad to take in tamiflu as a precaution kasi from what i heard, it has side effects to the 'unsick' body.
mei drugs para macure ung sakit, pero ndi specific ung drug na un para sa a(h1n1) and the supply of those drugs is low, reserved na ung drugs for complicated cases

if you don't already know... there are three cases in DLSU already! :[ the most recent is a 17-year old guy...
I think Ateneo will be a lot safer since it's a lot wider in terms of area compared to La Salle... so there won't be too much crowding around! :)
Most deaths occurred in Mexico... in other countries, it IS treatable.. but there's no vaccine against it yet. (is medicine available in the Phils. already!?) The global death rate from the swine flu is like a mere 1%. I think it depends on the countries climate or something?! I mean, why so many deaths in Mexico only?

NOOOOOO. Doesn't the Loyola Schools have some sort of invisible barrier thing in case of such measures? I mean, why else would tuition fees be so high? LOL

Unfortunately, they've spent all the money to build the underground water escape routes (in case a flock of wild geese invades the school) and the invisible barrier that stops other diseases that is not of the H1N1 nature.
@Jake: I agree, I'm really bored. I want to school to start already.
EDIT: The three cases of Influenza A are reported to be mild by AHS Principal Father Raymund-Benedict Q. Hizon. He has said that the boys were already feeling better and were not required to stay at the hospital. The ten day suspension is only a precautionary measure from the DOH to prevent anyone else from infection.

hear hear. school now pzl.
goose contingencies? D: but but what about the underground basketball player mutation facility? and the giant blue eagle taxidermy facility, where they stuff the next gigantic blue eagle to stick onto the gym near the grade school?
Teh Ateneo haz an underground facility? Hmm, I guess the rumors about unexpected noises are true. The building under construction (near SOSE) may be the very first secret Nuclear Weapons facility in the country. So, the ADMU scientists have developed a 100 megaton nuclear device... it's not long before they unveil an ICBM system ready to fire at a moment's notice.
The mutation facility has been well under way. They managed to rack up enough cash last season through the peddling of stalker photos and personal belongings of the players in the underground sports market to collect the needed vats of toxic waste and kidnapped geneticists to begin this season's phases.
*GASP* A taxidermy facility? Those fiends! So that was where the missing funds had gone to!
Why yes, jjsoviet. Though it is now more of an underground city where they also house the rejected mutants from their mutation facility, alongside the numerous buildings of illegal scientific breakthroughs.

That's bullocks! Don't get me started on their advanced genetic research facility; they're creating supersoldiers for their devilish plans. Those toxic wastes would be mutagens for their test subjects! I knew it....
