Two days lng? Kala ko ba better than the original plan ung OrSem? Eh bt two days lng? Better ba ang two days?!?
You can say that again...buti pa sana kung mga after a week or two...pero its almost three weeks! cguro naman well accommodated na tau sa ateneo by that tym...sigh
Siguro kaya ginawang 2 days nalang OrSem natin kasi baka tanggalin na nila yung Campus Tours, which could take a chunk of our time, and obviously, di na natin kakailanganin yun..
ang tagal naman nun. will there still be school nights and the Orsem night?

cguro ung one month ample time for us to tour the campus..and cguro naman kahit papano my acquaintances na tau by that tym...
cguro ORSEM would still be useful...the programme and activities might be changed..but the objective and goal are there pa rin...and gratifying na rin ung 2-day "break" na un from academics...if what the upperclassmen say about studying in ateneo is true, having fun and socialization on july 3-4 (tama ba?) are very welcoming to us freshmen who have just gone through the first two weeks of a difficult, sleepless, yet rewarding and enriching Ateneo life..
very unfortunate nga,..but the situation is at it is and we are just to SIMPLY make the BEST out of it..

parang ayoko nang pumunta kung ganun -__- my cousin's wedding is in manila on june 27, so i can't go home on that date. if i go to the orsem, it means i won't be going home the weekend after my cousin's wedding 2 weeks akong di uuwi. grrr. are we absolutely required to attend?

parang ang senseless na ng orsem kung ganon. i mean, three weeks after the opening of classes? this really makes me feel bad...parang wala na tuloy point :(
anyway, kahit ako medyo ayaw pumunta, pero we're freshmen...let's grab every opportunity to learn about our new school and meet new people...
i agree dun sa change of name...for me, it should be called Acquaintance Party of freshmen (or replace party with another word) rather than orsem...we do that in my high school (mga last week ng June-early July)...not necessarily an "orientation", but a means for the freshies to meet new people....parang magiging socialization na lang ung orsem e...little percentage for the actual "orientation"..

We have something like that too! But it's when seniors hang-out with the freshmen to teach them about High School Life. It's been a half-and-half between being fun and a hassle, but it's funny.
Having an OrSem sounds fun despite the July date.
Parang high school/grade school lang yung first day. Pinagkaiba lang, konti lang talaga yung kilala mo at lahat kayo nangangapa pa lang.
That'll be fun. Kinda like a video game. (Figure out your next class, find your room, try not to get lost, etc.)

i adore your optimism :D
though i still don't want to go on the 4th -_- or if i will, puwede bang half day lang? haha.
KJ ANG HINDI PUPUNTA/AYAW PUMUNTA WAHAHHAHA! Go Katlog!!!! Ilang buwan din yan pinagtrabahuhan ng committees kaya di dapat palagpasin. ;) Isa pa, hindi ka Atenista kung di ka nag-orsem. Buwahahhaah!
