Dark Cloud 2, simply, hands-down one of the best RPGs out there, who wouldve thought that combat action, a good story, fishing, golf?, building, inventing and taking pictures, wouldbe a good RPG

Really waiting for Halo: ODST. You are now an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, tasked to securing New Mombasa after Master Chief along with Sgt. Johnson and Capt. Miranda Keyes followed the Prophet of Regret's carrier to Delta Halo. Basically, the timeline is between Halo 2 and Halo 3.
The ODST's equipment includes an improved Suppressed SMG and a new HUD system. Since he's not a SPARTAN-II supersoldier, he is drastically smaller, slower and weaker than Master Chief. He also has no shields and will go toe-to-toe exclusively against Grunts, Jackals, and Brutes. The Elites (including the Arbiter) are in Delta Halo, so there are no signs of them on Earth.
The picture above is a real ODST armor made by Bungie for its Halo live-action shorts, along with a real BR55HB SR Battle Rifle. I do hope similar armor exist in today's militaries.

@sixteenth: I've played the three. After playing the first one, I got excited when the sequels came out. But as usual (well for me), nothing beats the first game.
I've only played 1, since I can't find 2 anywhere anymore.
Have you ever played Hack?
@jjsoviet: Nakakagulat naman yang picture. I look away for one second, then...BAM! gigantic-ass picture in front of my face.

@ jjsoviet: No, you dont stretch mah browser.. >_>
@ Giselle: Well, sakin, magkakaiba ng charm yung 3 AI games, pero all on the same level. Alternatively, try Mana Khemia, sequel ng AI yun, and Ar Tonelico, standalone series by GUST with the synthesis we all love ^^
If you loved Dark Cloud, Dark Cloud 2 is WAAAAAAAAY better. And, no, that wasn't an exaggeration.
.Hack ba? Yung si Kite? Never pa. Soon siguro..

Zetta Slow!, haha a famous the world ends with you quote..good times...
I do! Zhu Rong and Diao Chan! One of the fun-est games I ever played and a stress reliever to boot.
I havent' played dynasty warriors but i'm familiar with the characters (I read romance of the three kingdoms) but I know that Dynasty and Samurai warriors are similar, meaning both are good
hahaha, I want to play Warriors Orochi (Dynasty Warriors meets Samurai Warriors)

I want to play that one too. I've never played Samurai Warriors, but Warriors Orochi looked awesome. You've read Romance Of The Three Kingdoms? I've been looking for it, but never finding any (also Journey To The West and Water Margin)

It's fine, I've played Atelier Iris 2. Thanks though. That was a fun one, Atelier Iris 1 was still the best one for me :D Have you played it? Atelier Iris 1,I mean.

Final Fantasy: Tactics rin, isa pang all-time PSX favorite. I was always a sucker for FFV's job system, so when Tactics came out... you know the rest.
Chrono Trigger! Damn. I love RPG's, but I'm too obsessive-compulsive for my own good. I never got all the endings.
SW: KotoR. I lent it to my classmate in high school, never got it back. Sigh.
What about eccentric games? You know, like... Incredible Crisis. Or... PEPSI MAN!!!
I love FFT!!! and Pepsi Man!!!
how about Katamari Damacy or Gitaroo Man?
I could never find a copy of Katamari Damacy anywhere. :( It looks hella fun. And Gitaroo Man! I kept playing the single level demo of it that came with my PS2 over and over! HAHA
Other than awesome shooters, I'm really into underrated and overlooked games like these.
Shadow of the Colossus anyone? What about old DOS games? Like, say, Zork? Or or or...
WAR. WAR NEVER CHANGES. :>

OMG, Pepsi Man! That sure brings back a LOT of memories. I played it five times already. :))
@Johnny Walker: Awesome you love the first Valkyrie Profile. I never got Ending A, either. Di kaya ng powers ko. :))
Final Fantasy Tactics... that's where Ramza is a character, right? I really liked it, but I never got to finish it. My brother lost the CD... hmmm... it is possible to play psx games in the PSP, right? :D
Anyone ever played Thousand Arms? :) Or Xenogears?
Ending C was a big surprise. I can't remember how old I was then, but seeing the angry look on Freya's face really scared me. =))

Sorry, but I disagree. :(
I admit, Dark Cloud 2 did get me excited for a while. Although the idea of building your own "world" is fun, DC2 just falls short when it comes to the actual gameplay. You're REQUIRED to grind a lot just to move on with the story. And the multitude of "features" and "side quests"? It's all too confusing and not very rewarding.
It's tedious, repetitive, and it eventually gets boring.
But not in a Dynasty Warriors way. Dynasty Warriors is unapologetically shallow. Like an arcade game.
On the other hand, Dark Cloud 2 is pretentiously deep. Like FF7.
@Giselle: I have Atelier Iris 2. I can lend it to you if you want. :D

I've played it, but I never got to finish it. I do admit it was the better than the second one, though.
Suikoden 6 will be on the PS3? Really? That's pretty cool. Good thing I have a PS3 back home. :D

Lucky you have consoles... I only borrowed a friend's Xbox 360 in the US and finished a handful of games (Halo 2, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, etc.). However, I still think the PC is the best gaming device ever. The sheer number of mods, games, and support are unmatched by any other system.

No doubt about that. But then, it's like comparing a tiger to a lion. They might be similar, but they're still different beasts. Of course the PC will always be more powerful. I love how you can tweak and customize everything about it any way you want, but sometimes I just want to sit back and play something without having to mess around with configs or mods for hours, or spend hundreds of $$$ on the latest hardware.
Obviously, the consoles are specifically made for plug-and-play gaming sessions, having powerful graphical power without the worry for upgrades. Their life span is generally 3-6 years, depending on the developer's plans. The controls are more intuitive in some game genres than the mouse and keyboard, and the huge collection of exclusives are a plus.
hahaha, my PS 1 is still alive and kickin' after 8 years of existence and countless days of overuse, scratched cd's and abrupt power shortages. Still playing Suikoden 1 nd 2 with it

Oh, I'm adding Rock Band (in general) to my list of most favorite games ever D: I almost fainted while attempting The Kill earlier today, it was awesome XD

As for the sidequests, the reward (for me) is in the sidequest itself, the fun you(I) get from doing them.. I mean, Spheda was fun, Finny Frenzy was fun, Building Heim Rada was fun, Taking pictures was fun. You get what I mean.

whoops. can't relate. pro gamer prn aq, most of the time.
too lazy to read everything, skipped from 1st to last page. I like playing, pro I'm not THAT good. haha. tekken series. yeah. tekken 3 aq ngstart, then moved to tag, 5, DR, 6, and now bloodline rebellion.
one thing in common with all series, I've used only 2 characters as my main. Eddy and Christie. and since, to some people, low-tier character un, nagpapakahrap aq mglaro sa timezone, kc rn ung players na nakakalaban q nagssbi rn mahrap gmitin kc nga raw ung stances, absolutely vital in gaming.
other games I like...
dance dance revolution series, roughly around the time of tekken 3 aq ngstart, and played ever since.
beatmania/happy sky. pero beginner plng aq dun
shining force exa.
final fantasy X2
twisted metal 2, 3 and 4. played it as a kid.
gran turismo series.
aun lng. I dislike FPS games. pro it doesn't mean I don't know how to play them. :P

HAHA! Yeah, maybe I am. :P I didn't mean to bash DC2 completely to the ground though. I *did* enjoy the sidequests. A lot. For a while. Maybe it's just my awfully short attention span.
