oh no! i wanted badminton so much, pero sobrang simot na agad. i planned to take yoga and taichi, but still, wala na namang perfect slot. so i decided to enlist in arnis. im a bit disappointed..parang panlalaki lang ung PE na yun. mahirap ba yun as your PE? esp for girls?!
i have Richardson Gialogo as my teacher..is he..good? malupit ba siya or something?
how can we pass Arnis? ano ang mga requirements so you wont fail it? do we need to have sparrings with the rest of the class? :|
where's the covered courts, anyway? anong building po kaya un malapit?
SORRY po MADAMI TANONG. DISAPPOINTED kasi DAHIL DI NAKUHA ANG PREFERRED PE :(
(1) hindi siya mahirap for girls, dont worry (2) Sir Gialogo is good. Kwela, mabait. and talagang magaling siya sa arnis. marami na siyang napanalong arnis competition (3) Pumasok ka lang Ung sparrings, towards the end of the class na, mga 3-4 weeks before the end of the class. most patterns ang ituturo. (4) Katapat ng SecA.
I actually posted about this in the NatSci and PE Courses thread. My HS senior [who's also in ADMU] "de-commended" arnis. Your sparring partner will inevitably hit your hands for the first few weeks. HAHA
Here are color-coded maps I made. :D Its on the right side of the map. :)

fun magarnis, dont worry :D
thank you so much! im a bit delighted! :) may exams ba dun? HAHAHAHA.
ang midterms sa arnis is idedemonstrate mo ung hinihinging pattern ni sir gialogo. pati ata finals ganun. and then may sparring. pero ang kalaban mo dito, same sex and same relative height

Hahaha. Sir Gialogo may look intimidating on the outside, but he's really nice and generous in giving grades. You'll be having a demonstration as your midterms to see if you've memorized the patterns thoroughly (he'll even wear shades just to look "siga" and make sure you don't know if he's looking at your direction when you've made a mistake or something).
As for your finals, you'll be sparring against one another (there are male/female divisions apparently) and regardless of whether you lose early in the competition or not, he'll give you a high grade as long as you are punctual and attend his class regularly. Case in point, I had a 2-point deduction in the midterms and lost in the 2nd round of my sparring in the finals, and in addition to that, I cut one of his classes just to study for a Ma 19 long exam. Got an A in his class. :)
Hope that helped. :)
