Actually, I was never a "sporty" or "athletic" person, in fact, I've always HATED ballgames like basketball & volleyball. Super lampa ako nung bata ako, so ang baba palagi nung grade ko sa PE. :P I used to study ballet so I became a cheerleader in HS, but I quit because I focused more on my studies (being an honor student also during that time). I considered that as my sport during that time, though it was short-lived. But when I quit cheerleading, I was given the chance to try out another sport, though it may be quite unusual - FIGURE SKATING, since it was quite similar to cheerleading & ballet. it took me only a while to get used to the ice surface (though I was already 15 when I started taking lessons) hindi na ako gano nahirapan because of my background in cheering & ballet. :) Right now, I'm not taking lessons anymore because of college, but I still practice at the rink every week & I still love the sport. :D So there you have it, that's the story behind my "athletic" life. What's yours? :D
I'm not the athletic type as well, I mean I can play well, it's just that I don't have the activeness in me, or you can just call me lazy. Haha. xD
I've played badminton most of my life since I was a kid. Influenced by my parents I guess and it's most likely the only sport I love the most. But still, I dont' really run, only if I have to. :P
Then, basketball, tried it, but not really into it, especially when you have to dribble the ball from one court to another without letting the oponent get the ball. I'm real scared to be tackled so whenever someone passes me the ball, I usually scream. lol
I've had lessons of taekwondo when I was in 5th grade and am now a legal black belter. It's just that I've stopped right after I've achieved that since our coach left. So, it's been like 3 years or so that I haven't practiced it, so I'm now a white belter again. :P
Swimming taken when I was in first year HS, forced by my mom, learned it as a precaution.
Volleyball, tried it in first year and in fourth year, seems fun. :) That's my PE course for the 1st sem as well since there were no more slots left for badminton. :(

My PE for this sem is wushu. i wanted to try something new kasi, at para naman may alam akong at least isang martial art. :P At ang isa pa, naubusan ako ng slots sa ballroom at tap dance. I'm more of a dancer kasi, kaya nga cheerleading & ice skating ang naging sports ko dba :P
oh.. yeah..I wanted to try ballroom also, maybe in the future, if there are available slots. ^^ I'm more of a dancer as well, in HS, our class was always the one that performed during activities. And we'd always enjoy watching our boys practice their dance moves and wanted them to teach us, but they wouldn't budge. = = Haha. :)
I was never a sporty person. My sport is sleeping. [If it was a sport, that is. :))] My best record was 14 hours. HAHAHAH.
I have a phobia towards balls. Name it. Basketballs, volleyballs, tennis balls, soccer balls, ping pong balls [sort of], even shuttle****s. I'm scared they'd hit right at me. :| HAHA.
I do know how to swim [hanggang freestyle lang but I forgot how to na. I've been avoinding swimming since takot ako mangitim. And ayaw kong mag-swimsuit. HAHAHA] but I never got the hang of floating.
I hope martial arts would suit me better. Hopefully. :))
P.S. Sana pwedeng PE sa Ateneo ang Kendo. [Kaya lang ang mahal siguro nun. HAHAHA]

Tennis is what I've played the most (ever since 5th grade but I stopped second year because of school and lack of time). I played Softball as a kid; soccer, volleyball, ping pong, swimming, frisbee, and basketball because of PE.
I was pushed into sports a lot but I never really followed through, except for Tennis which I grew to love. My basketball skills amount to crap, despite my "blessed" height, the talent went to my sisters and brother :|

@nitram_1208: Very blessed. 5'9". You? As a kid my older sister's basketball team was already pushing me to join when I get to highschool. Never happened though. Student vs. Teachers? Very cool. Volleyball was alright, I just couldn't control the ball sometimes :|
But sports are uber fun all in all.

5'9"...??? O.o wow. i wish i had a height like that. haha. i'm only like 5' or 4' something. xD guess it's in the genes.. ><
5'9? so tall! :O I'm only like 5'0 & weigh 94 lbs. kaya nga skating at cheerleading mga sports ko, bagay sa mga girls with small frame like me.. cguro kng tlgang tnuloy ko nang mas matagal ung cheering dapat "flyer" ako (as in ung plging hinahagis sa ere) sa cheerleading team ng school namin dati...
anyway, medyo marunong rin nmn ako magswimming, pero for fun lng tlga.. :)
kendo? wow. ung anak nung isa naming family friend marunong din nyan. :D
